The conference will kick off on Monday, October 15th with a pre-conference field tour of the largest mine reclamation project in New Brunswick. Glencore Canada Corporation has agreed to host our field tour and will highlight almost 10 years of highly successful remediation work. The Brunswick mine produced 137 million tonnes of ore and extracted 29 million tonnes of zinc, lead, copper and bulk concentrates. The free field tour will commence from the NBCC campus at 11:00 a.m. Monday. Please indicate when you sign up if you will be attending so we can arrange the appropriate number of lunches and arrange for transportation. See Google Map location
October 18: Peat Harvesting and Peatland Restoration Field Tour – Sungro Canada
The Field Tour will depart at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, October 18 from the Miramichi area and will be completed by 2:00 p.m. See directions on the Venue page. The field tour is conveniently located to allow conference participants to participate in the field tour while returning home from the Miramichi area. Please be sure to indicate your attendance when you register.
